The philosophy of technology is an exciting topic today, as almost everyone understands that many technical means have become an integral part of the life of modern humans.

Today, it is hard to imagine that there used to be no cars, computers, Internet, and cell phones.

Thanks to technological innovations and the constant introduction of modern technologies into everyday life, our world has become more communicative and accessible.

In general, a discipline such as the philosophy of technology is concerned with studying nature, the characteristics and specifics of technical knowledge, and the history of the evolutionary development of technical means.

It is important to note that the study is conducted not just as a statement of a particular fact about the achievement of a certain level of technological development but with reference to the impact that achievement has on most people’s lives in society.

If we talk about today, then many areas of the development of activities, especially information technology, have prevailed in terms of influence on modern society.

It is also important to note that technology philosophy does not have a single and structured system because (in addition to its philosophy) it includes historical, axiological, and methodological aspects.

Indeed, for a proficient study of the impact of technology on a person, one should also consider the degree of perception of everything new and unknown.

However, practice shows that most people initially react negatively to profound innovations, explained by human psychology.

Ultimately, the perception of something new brings about a change in the state of things and has an impact on deeply ingrained habits.

Hence, it should be noted that such a philosophy generally focuses on two main tasks:

  1. Understand a technical invention by understanding its nature and essence. The need to solve this problem arose not so much in the context of the crisis in technology but the context of the general issues of “technogenic civilization.” It is now becoming clear that environmental, cultural, anthropological, and other crises are closely related to the active introduction of appropriate equipment.
  2. Find ways to solve the technology philosophy crisis through scientific dissertations, research, and industrial research.

Regardless, such an essential aspect of achieving technical civilization as artificial intelligence should be talked about.

Modern computer technology has made it possible to invent such a technique, the programs of which can almost completely replace a person in some areas of science and industry.

Thanks to this, an in-depth study of many questions related to the universe, biological organisms, the human genome, etc., has become available. Furthermore, the latest nanotechnology has made it possible to manufacture technical devices with minimal dimensions but the maximum potential for beneficial effects.

Therefore, the philosophy of technical sciences generally allows us to examine the mutual influence of people on technology and vice versa. Many scholars research this area of ​​philosophical research and publish dozens of monographs and scientific and journalistic articles on the subject.

Inevitably, the future will show what further influence technical innovations will have on people.
